On July 11, 2019, vocalist Kirill Shtranin announced that he was no longer part of The Korea. A day later, the group officially confirmed this information.
On August 15, 2019, The Korea released their new single "Horizons" and its music video. Oleg Lankin became the vocalist. On August 29, the band played a set at Polygon Fest, and on September 24, as special guests, they previewed the performance of As I Lay Dying in St. Petersburg. In December, solo concerts were held in Tula, Moscow and Ryazan, respectively.
On March 29, 2020, due to the quarantine measures caused by the coronavirus pandemic, the first online concert in the history of the group was organized.
On May 19, 2020, the single "Labyrinth" was released.
On September 26, 2020, the band made a statement regarding Lankin's departure. In an interview with the YouTube channel Hangover, guitarist Yuri Lampochkin spoke about his subsequent attempt to work on new material with Kirill Shtranin, but which failed in the end.
On October 10, a joint concert of the group with #####, Tsygun and Morokh took place in Moscow, where, together with The Korea, Vyacheslav Sokolov, the former vocalist of Amatory, Such A Beautiful Day, The Wheels Of Sorrow, performed as a session member. Both sides were evasive about the prospects for further cooperation. Nevertheless, on December 30, Sokolov was nevertheless declared an active member of the group. Fundraising for a new album has been launched through the Planeta.ru platform.
On February 11, 2021, the single "Loop" and the video for it were released.
The release date for the new album "Vorratokon" has been set for February 22, 2022.
In 2013, during the concert of The Korea in Katowice (Poland), after an insult to the group by one of the concert attendees, a fight broke out.
On December 4, 2015, at The Korea concert in Kursk, due to technical reasons, the group was forced to suspend their performance in order to adjust the equipment. During this time, the group's vocalists began to interact with the public and answer questions from fans in a playful but rude way. After a series of sharp shouts from the audience against The Korea, the vocalists, also in obscene form, called those who wanted to talk up to the stage. As a result, one of the visitors of the concert went up on stage, who was offended by "rude communication" with the audience and hit vocalist Yevgeny Potekhin, after which a mass brawl broke out. The incident received media coverage.
