Oracle is a system that provides an off-chain data source for on-chain smart contracts. The word "oracle" comes from Greek mythology, representing people who can communicate with the gods and see the future. In sizing, oracle is a system that can solve the problems of external connectivity and bridging data in and out of chains. Under optimal conditions, Oracle is a trustless system, which means that they do not need to be trusted as they operate on a decentralized basis. Developers are provided with fair, fair, accurate and reliable on-chain smart contract data service using Themis solutions.
Themis includes a wide range of technical solutions, which mainly focus on random number oracle, on-chain asset price oracle, computational oracle and other application scenarios, including mortgage assets becoming a data provider, detection verification, attack prevention algorithm, random verification verification. VRF, international protocol and other modules containing the complete set of Themis-Protocol.
Token
Themis Token bears the name of MIS with a total value of one billion. It is supposed to use 10% for preliminary promotion of the project. The remaining 90% is produced through mining, with 75% directly awarded to data providers, 10% to developers, and 5% as arbitrage node rewards and environmental incentives. Mining production will gradually decrease and be issued with an ETH block. The release plan for the development and arbitrage hub and environmental stimulus is as follows:
Every 4 million blocks of MIS awarded per block is reduced by 10%. The block reward is currently 20 MIS. Miners acquire MIS by providing a verifiable random number or by bidding on intra-chain assets. Whenever miners call mining contracts, the system does not charge a service fee (except for the service fee in ETH). Miners must deposit a certain amount, at least 100 MIS, when calling a contract.
Data Provider
Data providers must qualify to participate in the assignment of the Themis native token. They are mainly responsible for providing various data such as the random number being tested and the price of on-chain assets. If untrusted data is provided, the token will be confiscated as a reward for verifiers and arbitration nodes. To get the correct data, data providers will be rewarded for mining. The more promises, the more rewards
Data verifier
The data validator must stake their own Themis token in order to qualify for participation. They are mainly responsible for providing various data to data providers for verification and interrogation, as well as providing new data. Such a process can be carried out repeatedly so that the data provided by the validating data can be verified and questioned over and over again. For correct data, verify the data will also receive mining rewards.
Arbitration Node
The arbitration nodes arbitrate and form the final results on the issue proposed by the data checkers. If the data provided by a data provider in any round is not trustworthy, the native token pledged by that provider must be removed and confiscated as a reward to verifiers and arbitration nodes.
random number oracle
Random numbers are mainly applied in social public service, lottery, gambling products, decentralized games, etc. Simple, fair and efficient Themis random number engine can ensure the randomness of products, avoid attacks and allow users to participate in a fair and transparent environment.
Asset offer
Themis supports multi-asset bidding and can be applied to various Defi products such as decentralized transaction, mortgage loan and futures products.
Checked hashrate
With calculations exceeding the on-chain service fee upper limit, consumes a lot of computation time, and limited on-chain storage capacity, Themis can place computations and computation data off-chain and perform computation and revocation validation with a verifiable mechanism to solve these problems.
