Thomas Reade Rootes Cobb (born April 10, 1823) was an author, writer, and politician. He was born in Jefferson County, Georgia, and held citizenship in both the Confederate States of America and the United States. Cobb studied at the University of Georgia. In addition to his writing and political career, Cobb was the founder of the Lucy Cobb Institute. He passed away on December 13, 1862, in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
