British orientalist
Thomas Walker Arnold (born April 19, 1864, in Devonport, Plymouth; died June 9, 1930, in London) was a historian from the United Kingdom. Arnold was an expert in the fields of Islamic art and architecture, and his works are still considered important to scholars in these areas today. He was educated at Magdalene College, Cambridge. During his lifetime, he held the citizenship of the United Kingdom and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland.
