Tim Hardaway, born Timothy Duane Hardaway Sr. on September 1, 1966 in Chicago, is a former professional basketball player and coach from the United States. He is best known for his playing career, during which he received several awards, including NBA All-Star, NBA All-Rookie First Team, and First-team All-WAC. Hardaway also won an Olympic Gold Medal in basketball.
Hardaway is a citizen of the United States and was educated at Carver Military Academy and the University of Texas at El Paso. He is the father of Tim Hardaway Jr., who is also a professional basketball player. Tim Hardaway Sr.'s nickname during his playing career was "Tim Bug".
After his playing career, Hardaway continued his involvement in sports as a coach and sportsman, with his current location being in Michigan.
