Tim Herron, born Timothy Daniel Herron, on June 2, 1970, in Minneapolis, is a professional golfer in the United States. Herron is an alum of the University of New Mexico and Wayzata High School. He is often known by his nickname "Lumpy". Herron’s career highlights include reaching 550 PGA TOUR starts at the Barracuda Championship and making four cuts in 12 PGA TOUR starts. He has won various awards throughout his career, such as The Players Championship, the GTE Byron Nelson Golf Classic, and the Walker Cup, among others.
Herron is associated with the golf industry and has participated in multiple events throughout his career, including the Sony Open in Hawaii, the Valero Texas Open, and the Deutsche Bank Championship. Although Herron struggled during some seasons, such as making only one cut in seven PGA TOUR starts, he has also shown success in numerous Korn Ferry Tour events, including making 11 regular-season starts, four starts in the Korn Ferry Tour Finals, and finishing No. 84 on the Korn Ferry Tour Finals money list. Herron is currently residing in Wayzata, Minnesota.
