Tim Schafer (born July 26, 1967) is a United States citizen known for his work as an engineer, programmer, video game developer, computer scientist, screenwriter, and video game producer. Born in Sonoma, California, Schafer attended Sonoma Valley High School before going on to study at the University of California, Berkeley.
Schafer is the founder of Double Fine Productions, a video game development company based in San Francisco. As a director, he has worked on games such as Psychonauts 2, Surviving Mars, and Rayman Legends. He is also the author of the video game, Psychonauts.
