Tim Sweeney is a game developer, computer scientist, engineer, and businessperson from the United States. He was born in 1970 in Potomac, Maryland. Sweeney is the founder of Epic Games, a subsidiary of which he is also the CEO. In addition, he is the CEO and founder of Inflammatix.
Sweeney attended Winston Churchill High School in Potomac, Maryland, and later the University of Maryland, College Park. As a game developer, he is best known for his work on the Unreal Engine.
Throughout his career, Tim Sweeney has received various awards, including being inducted into the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences' Hall of Fame.
