Todd Graff, born on October 22, 1959, is an American film director, screenwriter, film producer, and actor. He was born in Manhattan, New York, and holds citizenship in the United States. Graff is known for his work in various genres like comedy, psychological thriller, romantic, comedy-drama, and drama. He is the sibling of Ilene Graff.
Graff received his education from the State University of New York at Purchase and the Professional Children's School. His notable works include the 2003 independent film "Camp,", "Joyful Noise," and his role as Alan "Hippy" Carnes in the 1989 science fiction film "The Abyss". In his career, Graff has authored films like "Used People", "Fly by Night", "The Vanishing", "Angie", "The Beautician and the Beast", "Bandslam", and "Joyful Noise". He has also directed films such as "CAMP" and "Joyful Noise".
Aside from being a film director and writer, Todd Graff has an early career as a singer, appearing on the original albums of "Sesame Street" in 1970. He has received the Theatre World Award and the Grand Jury Prize at the Venice Film Festival for his work.
