TogetherAI is an American enterprise software company developing a web-based platform for constructing open-source generative Artificial Inteligence and infrastructure for developing AI models. The company also develops FlashAttention, FlexGen, and CocktailSGD. In 2023, they raised a $100M+ Series A in 2023.

The co-founders are looking to create an open-source infrastructure platform, as well as models and services that organizations can use to embed AI in their applications. Together’s cloud platform streamlines the training, fine-tuning and running in production of AI models.

On April 17, 2023, TogetherAI launched a project called RedPajama, which reproduces and distributes an open source version of the LLaMA dataset. The initiative is developing a series of chat-based generative AI models similar to OpenAI’s ChatGPT. Alongside its cloud infrastructure, the platform also offers a consulting service called Custom Models, helping companies design and build customized AI models for specific workloads, trained on their proprietary data.
