Tomb Finance is a seigniorage algorithmic token on the Fantom Opera Network and blockchain. Tomb Finance's main token, TOMB, follows the price of a defined asset, setting a protocol to push the price up or down to stay close to the peg target. This token is intended as the foundation of the Tomb Finance ecosystem. Tomb Finance aims, through their tokens, to bring liquidity to the Fantom ecosystem and help develop new use cases to the Opera network. Besides the TOMB token, Tomb Finance has TSHARE for Tomb Shares and TBOND for Tomb Bonds. Tomb Finance intends to become the main medium of exchange on the Fantom Opera network.
Since the founding of the Tomb Finance project, Quantum Fintech Group, a cryptocurrency hedge fund, has taken the project on under the direction of Harry Yeh. This has changed the expected timelines and goals of the project, offering a more long-term vision for the project, which has in turn increased its popularity on the Fantom Opera blockchain.
TOMB token is designed, as discussed above, to be the medium of exchange, with a built-in stability mechanism in the protocol to maintain TOMB's peg to 1 Fantom (FTM) token. However, even though TOMB is pegged actively via algorithm, it will not be valued at 1 FTM at all times as it is not collateralized; further, it should not be confused for a crypto or fiat-backed stablecoin.
TOMB Share (TSHARE) is one of the ways to measure the value of the TOMB Protocol and shareholder trust in its ability to maintain TOMB close to peg. During expansions, the protocol mints TOMB and distributes it proportionally to all TSHARE holders who have staked tokens in the Masonry. TSHARE holders are given voting rights and governance rights on proposals to improve the protocol and future use cases in the Tomb Finance ecosystem. TSHARE has a maximum supply of 70,000 tokens.
TOMB Bonds (TBOND) is intended to be used to help incentivize changes in TOMB supply during concentration periods. When the time weighted average price of TOMB falls below 1 FTM, TBONDs are issued and can be bought with TOMB at the current price. The exchange of TOMB for TBOND burns TOMB tokens, taking them out of circulation and helping return the TOMB price to 1 FTM. These TBOND can in turn be redeemed for TOMB when the price is above the peg in the future, plus an incentive for the longer they are held above peg. This action is used to reduce the possibility of inflation for TOMB.
