Torah Network, also known as Torah, is an organization with a Web3 data storage platform that distributes energy transactions through the use of resources pulled from community members. Resources include idle bandwidth, computing resources, and storage space. In addition to the platform, Torah has developed solutions for the metaverse, NFTs, augmented reality, and virtual reality.
The name of the network is derived from the first five books of the Old Testament, which, among other stories, detail natural disasters that have taken place in the past. The team behind the protocol chose the name to show the importance of creating a future that uses energy more efficiently to preserve resources on Earth.
The Torah Network's protocol is called Vortex Protocol, and it is in its second generation. The first generation of the protocol used a C60 structure, and the second generation uses a diamond structure. The protocol is used to decentralize data so it can be stored in a manner that aims for carbon neutrality but is still private.
Torah Network's token is called VP, and it is described as the "circulation pass" of Torah. There were 102,400,000 issued at genesis, and no more will be issued. Each VP serves as proof-of-ownership for holders and acts as a governance token for users to vote in the decentralized autonomous organization of Torah.
