Toyo University

Toyo University is a private educational institution located in Tokyo, Japan. Established in 1887 by Inoue Enryō, it is an organization focused on education, higher education, and operates as a university. Toyo University's motto is "The basis of all learning lies in philosophy".

The university is accredited by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan and the Japan University Accreditation Association. To date, Toyo University has been assigned two patents. The institution is also known by its Japanese name, 東洋大学.
