Tracxn is a research firm that provides information, mostly startup data, for venture capitalists and corporate development offices. The company is headquartered in Palo Alto, California and was founded in 2013 by Abhishek Goyal and Neha Singh. Tracxn uses big data and artificial intelligence to track companies and provide data regarding more than 250 technology sectors, over 600 emerging themes, and 30+ countries. Notable customers using Tracxn include: Andreessen Horowitz, PWC, Matrix Partners, Citi, Bayer, Embraer, Ferrero, Huawei, Lightspeed, OLA, Samsung, Toyota, WeWork, The World Bank, and Facebook.
On April 28, 2015 Traxn announced raising $3.5 million in series A funding from SAIF Ventures. Traxn plans on using the funding to hire more analysts primarily in Southest Asia and Europe.
On June 19, 2015 Traxn expanded their series A funding with $10 million in funding from Sachin Bansai, Binny Bansal, and other undisclosed investors. The company plans on using the funding to launch their startup company incubator program which will provide capital ranging from $20,000 to $50,000 to create minimum viable products.
On February 17, 2016 Traxn completed a venture capital round with an undisclosed amount of funding from Neeraj Arora, Nandan Nilekani, and Aarin Capital. The founder of Traxn, Neha Singh, made the following statements regarding the companies plans for expanding Traxn using their funding:
Investors were our early adopters. But today, large enterprises is our biggest as well as the fastest growing customer segment. We work with enterprises and investors across over 20 countries. As we expand our footprint, we look forward to learn from people who have scaled large businesses globally.
On April 24, 2018 Traxn announced raising an undisclosed amount of funding from undisclosed investors. At the time of receiving this funding Traxn had a pre-money valuation of $70 million.
On August 30, 2019 Traxn announced raising $3 million in series B II capital from KG Global Platform Fund. After receiving their series B II funding Traxn had a post-money valuation of $78.75 million, and had raised a total of $16.5 million over six funding rounds.
