Tracy Sun is the co-founder of Poshmark, a fashion social marketplace. She served as the senior vice president of new markets as of October 2019. Sun was born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and grew up in New York City. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in psychology and biology from Columbia University in 1999, with the intention of pursuing medical school as a neurosurgeon.
Upon her graduation from Darthmouth College with an MBA in 2005, she started her career in the field of fashion technology. Sun served as the vice president of merchandising in Brooklyn Industries within three years from her start in the company as an intern. In 2011, she established Poshmark from San Francisco with her fellow co-founders: Manish Chandra, Gautam Golwala, and Chetan Pungaliya. The team developed Poshmark as an e-commerce that is primarily mobile-app driven. As of October 2019, Sun is currently based in San Francisco.
