Transformative AI is a London based technology company developing predictive analysis models to empower healthcare professionals and patients by providing early assessments for possible health complications before they manifest. The company is working on a system that could help predict heart attacks by monitoring health data of a patient.

Transformative AI has developed a prototype algorithm which can predict whether a specific pattern of heartbeats combined with patients physiology is related to ventricular arrhythmia. These irregular heartbeats prevent oxygen-rich blood from reaching the brain and other parts of the body, which may result in cardiac arrest. The prototype has proven to be 91 percent accurate in predicting such patterns up to four minutes before the onset of the ventricular arrhythmia.

The company is working on further improving the algorithm by analyzing continuous electrocardiogram data and implantable defibrillator data. It is also developing end-user applications for healthcare professionals and patients to monitor cardiac arrest risk levels.

Marek Rei, Josh Oppenheimer, and Marek Sirendi founded the company in 2016 and is headquartered in London, United Kingdom. Entrepreneur First backed the company as a part of an EF7 cohort. Marek Sirendi is a Ph.D. graduate from the University of Cambridge who has worked as a data scientist on Large Hadron Collider at CERN. Marek Rei holds a Ph.D. in machine learning from the University of Cambridge and has worked with deep learning predictive models at Swiftkey and Josh is an MD from the Icahn School of Medicine.
