Trip Hawkins (born December 28, 1953) is an American entrepreneur and founder of multiple companies in the video game industry, including Digital Chocolate, If You Can, Electronic Arts, and The 3DO Company. Hawkins was born in Pasadena, California and holds citizenship in the United States.
Hawkins received his education from various institutions. He attended La Jolla High School and later went on to pursue higher education at Harvard University and Stanford Graduate School of Business.
In recognition of his contributions to the video game industry, Trip Hawkins has been awarded a place in the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences' Hall of Fame.
