UK Department for Business, Enterprise, and Regulatory Reform, also known as BERR, is now the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills in UK. This United Kingdom government department was founded in 2007 that is responsible for company law, trade, energy, business growth, employment law, regional economic development and consumer law. This government deprtment was responsible for the implementation of the Companies Act 2006 and for promoting entrepreneurship in the UK.
The department delivered £69.5 million of value for money savings in 2008 to 2009, against a target of £64 million.
