The present invention provides an AMOLED pixel driving circuit and a pixel driving method. The AMOLED pixel driving circuit utilizes a 5T1C structure driving circuit, comprising a first thin film transistor (T1), a second thin film transistor (T2), a third thin film transistor (T3), a fourth thin film transistor (T4), a fifth thin film transistor (T5), a capacitor (C1) and an organic light emitting diode (D1), and the nth scan signal (Scan(n)), the n-1th scan signal (Scan(n-1)) and the light emitting control signal (Em(n)) are combined with one another, and correspond to an OLED activation voltage extracting stage, a program stage and a light emitting stage one after another. Ultimately, the current IOLED flowing through the organic light emitting diode (D1) satisfies: IOLED ∝(VData−Vref+VSS+VOLED−VDD−Vth1)2. The IOLED which increases along with the VOLED can qualitatively compensate the brightness decay of the organic light emitting diode.
