In one embodiment, the seat structure comprises a seat pan for mounting on a frame structure of the passenger seat in a manner such that the seat pan is moveable in forward and backward directions relative to the frame independently from movement of a seat back of the passenger seat; and biasing means for biasing the seat pan in a default position.
