The present invention relates to a catalyst that comprises a carrier body with a length L, which extends between a first end face ‘a’ and a second end face ‘b’, and differently composed, catalytically-active material zones A, B, and C arranged on the carrier body, whereinmaterial zone A contains platinum or platinum and palladium with a weight ratio Pt:Pd of ≥1 and, starting from end face ‘a’ or starting from end face ‘b’, extends along 70 to 100% of the length L, andmaterial zone B contains palladium or platinum and palladium and, starting from end face ‘b’, extends along a portion of the length L, andmaterial zone C contains SCR-active material and, starting from end face ‘a’, extends along a portion of the length L,wherein material zone C is arranged above material zone A.
