Embodiments of the kit for personalizing a bath mat may be applied directly to a shower or bathtub floor or to a commercially available bath mat. Embodiments of the kit for personalizing a bath mat may comprise a specific bath mat with designated targets for guiding placement of the appliques or having superior bonding characteristics for the adhesive backing of the appliques.
