A device for administering a test on a system is decoupled from one or more other devices that apply a load on the system as part of the test. The one or more devices that apply the load on the system and the system itself may be located in a common facility. The one or more devices that apply the load on the system may apply the load in a manner specific to one or more applications executing on the system.
