In some examples a plurality of stored micro-services may be exposed. Each micro-service may include at least one generic configuration primitive to configure a plurality of switches. A call including configuration parameters may be received. The call is to a particular micro-service from the plurality of micro-services stored in the virtual device and to a particular switch from the plurality of switches. A switch driver corresponding to the particular switch may be detected. Each switch driver may include configuration commands to implement the respective at least one configuration primitive of the respective micro-service. The respective at least one configuration primitive may be called on the respective switch driver based on the respective configuration parameters.
