A request to join the heterogeneous domain of the mobile edge computing server is made. The mobile edge computing server is configured for determining an on-board cache size of the requesting client, determining a download size for the requesting client, and transmitting a download to the requesting client. The download includes an application, an operating database, and a size determined by the download size. The download is received. At least one task determined by the download is executed.
