The server may be configured to receive barometric data from one or more sensors in each of the plurality of mobile devices, identify that the barometric data indicates an occurrence of at least one catastrophic event, identify a geographic region affected by the at least one catastrophic event, access the insurance policy database to determine a number of insurance policies in the geographic region, estimate a number of catastrophe resources needed to handle the number of insurance policies in the geographic region, and assign at least one of the catastrophe resources to each of the insurance policies in the geographic region.
