The authentication systems described permit a user to access digital systems and content, computing systems and devices and physical locations using only the user's mobile device. The mobile device runs mobile application that performs the authentication functionality using biometric data obtained on the mobile device. The authentication data is stored on the mobile device in an encrypted format and is not shared with the other devices in the authentication system.
