The method includes monitoring at least a portion of a perimeter of an area, and receiving an event signal generated as a result of remote movement or presence of a subject. A projectile is be remotely launched from a launcher a toward the subject, the projectile including a pair of pellets and a tether connecting the pellets. The projectile is capable of at least temporarily detaining the subject when wrapped about the subject.
