In an example, a method of wireless communication of a base station may include assigning, by the base station, one or more resources to a group comprising a plurality of UEs that includes a first UE. The method may include receiving, by the base station from the first UE, a message on the one or more assigned resources. The message may include a cyclic redundancy check (CRC) scrambled with a group identifier for the group comprising the plurality of UEs. The message may include an indication of a UE identifier for the first UE within the group. The message may include a DMRS, where the indication of the UE identifier is represented by a sequence of the DMRS.
