The apparatus is designed for functional training exercises, including but not limited to, dry-land, surf-specific training. The apparatus is versatile and may be used in any and all fitness programs, as well as physical and rehabilitation therapy. Corresponding methods for performing physical exercises on at least one rigid cylinder are also provided.
