A method for processing video includes: storing a combined inter-intra prediction (CIIP) flag and/or intra mode of the CIIP mode with motion information in a history-based motion vector prediction (HMVP) table; and performing, at least based on the HMVP table, a conversion between a current block in a video data and a bitstream representation of the current block.
