Embodiments of the present invention provide a split-screen display method and an apparatus, and relate to the field of terminal technologies, to display detailed information about intelligent prompt information on split screens, thereby improving user experience. The method is applied to a terminal including at least one display. The method includes: obtaining the intelligent prompt information; displaying the detailed information corresponding to the intelligent prompt information in a first display area of a first display, where the first display is one of the at least one display, and the first display area is a partial display area of the first display.
