A device includes a support configured to wrap around at least a portion of a lower leg of a user and a lace support attached to the support and configured to receive a lace. The device includes a reel-based fastener attached to the support, wherein the reel-based fastener comprises a reel for receiving the lace and adjusting a tautness of the lace.
