An alternative broadhead blade lock and release apparatus and method consisting of a support body with a tip assembly with a nosetip. A blade is attached with the support body such that the blade is movable from a first position to a second position. A pressure device is connected with the blade where the pressure device is configured to pressure the blade to the second position and a locking pin is connected with the nosetip such that when the blade is connected with the locking pin the locking pin is in locking position and the blade is held in the first position by the pressure on the blade to the second position and where pressure on the blade toward the support body releases the blade from the locking pin such that the pressure device pressures the blade to rotate to the second position.
