Novel lettuce, such as lettuce designated PINION is disclosed. In some embodiments, the disclosure relates to the seeds of lettuce designated PINION, to the plants and plant parts of lettuce designated PINION, and to methods for producing a lettuce plant by crossing the lettuce designated PINION with itself or another lettuce plant. The disclosure further relates to methods for producing a lettuce plant containing in its genetic material one or more transgenes and to the transgenic plants produced by that method and to methods for producing other lettuce plants derived from the lettuce designated PINION.
