A medical device shaft includes a first longitudinal edge joined to all or a portion of a second longitudinal edge, and an inner surface forming a plurality of lumens separated by a plurality of longitudinal ribs extending along a length of the shaft; wherein a base of each rib is spaced apart from one another and each rib is joined to one another in proximity to a peak of each rib.
