Disclosed are various embodiments of a belt support module design for use in an imaging forming apparatus or machine. The belt support module is utilized in association with an electrostatographic imaging belt. The belt support module has at least one flexible spreader roller to suppress, or effect the elimination of, belt ripple or wrinkle development during machine belt cycling operation.
