In one form, an airbag apparatus to be mounted to a motorcycle includes an airbag which is deployed and inflated upon front collision of a vehicle. The airbag is configured to constrain a rider by being deployed and inflated locally in terms of the vertical direction of a vehicle body in a lumbar part area of a rider protecting area formed in front of the rider.
