A tennis net support stick is retained by a housing that is present on a tennis net support post or stile. A reel may be connected to the tennis net support stick by means of a line, cable, wire or similar apparatus to a pole of precise length, called a support stick, which supports a tennis net at a required distance from the court lines during a singles tennis match. The line, cable, wire or similar apparatus provides a pre-determined distance of the support stick from the tennis net support post, whereas the support stick length ensures a regulation height of the net.
