A monolithic integrated circuit includes programmable processing circuitry. The processing circuitry includes four programmable circuitry elements. Switching circuitry is operatively connected to the programmable circuitry elements and is configured to provide data communication between the circuitry elements. An image sensor interface is connected to the processing circuitry and is configured to receive signals from an image sensor and to pass data representing the signals to the programmable processing circuitry.
