The invention is directed to rubber mixtures comprising rubber, fillers, optionally further rubber auxiliaries and at least one organosilane of the general formula I:R1R2R3SiR4—SH (I)wherein:R1 is methyl or ethyl,R2 is methoxy, ethoxy or —O—(Y—O)m—X where Y=a branched or unbranched, saturated or unsaturated divalent hydrocarbon group, X is a C1- to C9-alkyl group and m=1-40,R3 is methyl, ethyl or R2,and R4 is a branched or unbranched, saturated or unsaturated, aliphatic, aromatic or mixed aliphatic/aromatic divalent C1-C12 hydrocarbon group.
