The processing module receives an expected display mode, and determines whether the expected display mode is among the supported display modes. If not, a specific display mode is selected from the supported display modes. The resolution of the specific display mode is smaller than and closest to that of the expected display mode among the supported display modes. The specific display mode is set as the display mode of a device.
