An exemplary method of treating a urologic symptom includes administering a daily dose of creatine to an individual wherein the daily dose of creatine lies in a range from about 0.35 mg to about 3.5 mg per kilogram body weight. Such an exemplary method may further include administering a dose of a compound that inhibits phosphodiesterase (e.g., at a time less than approximately 4 hours prior to sexual activity).
