The electronic apparatus further includes a measuring unit for measuring a pulse width of a pulse signal outputted from the conversion unit in a state where the infrared signal from the remote controller is not received at the photodetector element, and a judging unit for judging whether the pulse width measured by the measuring unit is equal to or longer than a predetermined time for determining a stable reception environment.
