The light source device includes a plurality of series drive circuits each including a predetermined number of series-connected light-emitting diodes, a constant-current circuit outputting a constant amount of current to one of the plural series drive circuits serving as a reference, the plural series drive circuits being connected in parallel with the current output, a current mirror circuit operable to allow the same amount of current to flow through the plural series drive circuits, and a voltage dropping circuit operable to cause a voltage drop of a predetermined level in the series drive circuit serving as the reference, the voltage dropping circuit being disposed in series with the light-emitting diodes forming the series drive circuit serving as the reference.
