A power-saving tread mill includes: a pair of rollers 10, 20; and an endless belt 30 wound around the pair of rollers 10, 20, wherein at least one of the rollers 10, 20 has: an armature 24a having iron cores 24c and coils 24c wound around the iron cores 24c; and permanent magnets 23 rotatable with the one of the rollers 10, 20 integrally, and electromagnetic induction produced between the permanent magnets 23 and the armature 24a produces induced electric current flowing through the coils 24c when the one of the rollers 10, 20 is rotated.
