The metadata having data for defining a type of the menu item and transition of a menu focus. A remote commander operation detection section detects operation performed on a remote commander. A menu screen generation processing section adds the menu item based on the metadata to the menu screen, for assembly; and a notification processing section notifies the external equipment of the menu item selected on the menu screen.
