Disclosed is an organic EL device having high luminous efficiency and long emission life, wherein emission wavelength is controlled. Also disclosed are an illuminating device and a display. Specifically disclosed is an organic electroluminescent device containing at least a light-emitting layer sandwiched between an anode and a cathode.
