The systems and methods include multimedia encoding, transmitting, and decoding instantiation systems which are capable of being modified on the basis of associated IPR costs. Further, the systems and methods include the capabilities of recording or transmitting the IPR and/or IPR costs associated with the instantiated encoders, transmitters, or decoders.
