US Patent 9475605 Child-resistant packaging systems and methods

A child-resistant package is disclosed comprising an inner tray, an outer sleeve, and a locking system. The locking system may comprise at least one locking tab, at least one locking slot for each locking tab, and an engagement point. The locking slots may be positioned on opposite sides of the outer sleeve and may be aligned with the locking tabs when the inner tray is slideably engaged with the outer sleeve such that the locking tabs engage the locking slots.
